welcome!!

Hi, welcome to me and Kyle's page, my name is Jesus. I hope you have the time to read our blog posts, we are writing blogs to show our growth through out reading and writing. But not only in the class room and in school, also in life. The blogs are also to show how we grew as readers and writers in life outside of school, and what strategies we have picked up. We are doing this because #1 this is an exit project #2 also so that others like the seventh grade could look at what we are writing so they can learn from our information. But not to copy it only learn from it. #3 and most importantly so we can leave something behind because this is our last year in middle school.

My outside life

My outside life is all just about having a good time, especially with friends. After school I don't do much but at home thats when school work matters because I get the rest of the day to read and/or write. Since I lived in the same building for 14 years all of my reading and writing experiences stuck with me, I forgot what age was I when I started reading, I think I was about two or three. I know that by the age of three I already knew how to write my name, the teacher at my day care was surprised because....well you know, its not everyday where you see a three year old writing their name without any help. I think reading was the most difficult thing I learned as a child, because I talked with a lisp, even though I still though, I never pronounced stuff that start with a "th" correctly (I still can't), and the thing that was always annoying for me was that I alwaysed re-read the same sentence. I learned how to reduce the chances of that happening. Writing was really easy for me, the only challenges was writing neatly and writing the letters on the lines of lined paper, then again every one has that problem at a very young age. My outside life is mostly just about kick'n back, having fun and when its time to do work, I do the work.

The writing life of an eigth grader

Hmmm writing, I sorta like to write, I don't like to write too much thats all. But like if I know alot about some thing then theres a high chance that I'll write alot about it. For example, dogs, I know alot about them and have alot of experiences with them. As a result, I could most likely be able to write a whole lot about dogs. The reason why I don't like writing that much is because I don't like writing about something I don't understand and know that well. Well I guess thats why people study lol, but thats not what this blog is all about, I'll tell you what this blog is about. A matter of fact I'll show you, starting now. I guess I'm a good writer, if I put my mind into it I could really write alot. Since I'm left handed I can't really write that neat and couldn't write that fast. I used to write all lop-sided and my letters would look messed up. But now I picked up a new strategy, no I did not learn how to write script, I just connected all the letters in every word I wrote. How I write now is very helpful for me, I guess I write a little neater. But one thing for sure is that I write a whole lot faster. But some times I think I write too fast because there are times when I just get ahead of what I'm writing and write something I was planning on writing later on in the sentence. Or I just write something completly off topic and I don't know how that happens. This started happening around last year I think. Another strategy I picked up that helped me write better was to read to myself in my head what I plan on writing while writting it down. This helped me because it helped me kept track of what I want to write instead of stopping incase I forget. This strategy is very helpful for me. I think one one of the reasons why some people don't like to write is because now with the 21st century technoligy, most people are used to typing and some of those people don't like writing because now they prefer typing.
